Is Your Heart Prepared for God's Mighty Work?
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." - Psalm 51:10
Have you ever questioned whether your heart is truly ready for God to work mightily in your life? It's a vital inquiry that invites us to examine the condition of our innermost thoughts and intentions.
Our hearts serve as the epicenter of our relationship with God. As Proverbs 4:23 wisely advises, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." The state of our hearts significantly influences our actions, decisions, and our capacity to receive God's transformative guidance.
A heart prepared for God's mighty work is marked by several key attributes:
Surrender: An open heart readily surrenders to God's will. It acknowledges that His plans are superior and willingly yields control. Surrender is not a sign of weakness but of trust in God's wisdom and sovereignty.
Humility: A humble heart recognizes its dependence on God. It acknowledges personal limitations and shortcomings, allowing God's grace to fill the gaps. Humility opens the door to God's transformative work.
Repentance: A heart prepared for God's mighty work is quick to repent. It acknowledges sins and seeks forgiveness, understanding that unconfessed sin can hinder our relationship with Him.
Faith: Faith is the cornerstone of a heart ready for God's work. It trusts that God is faithful to His promises and believes that He can accomplish the seemingly impossible. Faith fuels our prayers and actions.
Love: Love is at the core of a prepared heart. It reflects Christ's love for others and motivates us to serve and minister to those in need.
Obedience: A heart prepared for God's mighty work willingly obeys His commands. It recognizes that true freedom and blessing come from aligning our lives with His will.
Take a moment to assess the condition of your heart. Are there areas where surrender, humility, repentance, faith, love, or obedience are lacking? Invite the Holy Spirit to guide you in making your heart ready for God's mighty work.
Prayerfully consider what steps you can take to cultivate a heart that is prepared for His transformative touch. Remember that God delights in working through willing and open hearts. As you surrender, trust, and align your heart with His, you will witness His mighty work in your life and the lives of those around you.

Oh good morning you guys. Thank you Pastor Ed! Nothing like waking up to another day of seeing the presence of God showing up here as it has yesterday in my prayers. Hope everyone made it through now safe and protected. God answers prayers faithfully and sometimes astonishingly. A friend once told me you don’t have to be clean to use the soap. Where I lack I ask. And He answers. I meet with a group of people who pray to God for help but many do not know it is Jesus who reigns. I don’t correct them but for me everything changed when Jesus came. It’s Him who made the difference.
