Worship Is Your Weapon

“And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.” (Revelation 14:3)

Yesterday, we talked about a song written just for you — that when you face trying times or difficult circumstances, God is writing a song specifically for you. There is a message inside that is custom to you and your circumstances, and He wants to teach something that is so specific to you. That is the type of God we serve!

When it comes to these trying times, it is not only about deciphering the message, but remaining faithful to the message giver. See, worship is your weapon. One thing that you have as a believer is a God who is in control. For those who do not serve Christ, when trouble comes their way, they don’t have the answer you have. They don’t have a relationship with the One who holds the keys to victory.

Instead, they try to figure things out on their own. As believers, we are following the One who guarantees victory. And so when tough times come, you do not have to worry. You do not have to spend all your time frustrated or angry. Use this time to worship. The enemy does not expect for you to worship when things are not going your way.

How different would this be if instead of complaining or growing upset, you began to praise and worship God? You turned your attention from the problem to the problem solver. This might seem difficult, but it will change your perspective. Your problems will shrink as your worship increases. You begin to remember how big your God is, and as a result how small the problem is for Him.

I am not saying your problem is small; it might be very big. But for a big God that can do anything, the fix is small. It is easy. So use worship as your weapon, and allow God to change your perspective. Who knows, it might just change your situation in the process!
