Live in God’s Truth

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:10

You live out what you believe about yourself, whether it’s true or not. If you believe you’re not good enough, not smart enough, or not worthy, you’ll live that way; hesitant, unsure, and afraid to step into the purpose God has for you. But those beliefs are often based on lies, expectations, or insecurities, not on what God says about you.

Pete Scazzero said, “The vast majority of us go to our graves without knowing who we are. We unconsciously live someone else's life or at least someone else's expectations for us.” When you live like that, trying to perform for acceptance or shrinking back to pacify others, you do damage to yourself, to your relationship with God, and to the people He’s called you to impact.

It’s time to stop wearing imposter syndrome. Stop trying to prove yourself. Stop stepping back in false humility when, in reality, it’s insecurity speaking. If God has placed you in a role, given you a platform, or entrusted you with a responsibility, then He has also equipped you for it.

You may not be perfect, but God isn’t asking for perfection. You may not be the expert, but He’s not asking you to have all the answers. What He’s asking is for you to trust Him. To believe that if He’s called you, He’s qualified you. To step into your purpose with the confidence that His grace is enough.

It’s time to let it go. The title or role you’ve been given isn’t something you earned or deserved, it’s something God has entrusted to you. You don’t need to take credit for it, but you also don’t need to shrink back from it.

Embrace the truth that you are who you are by the grace of God. Live in that truth, and let it guide you as you step forward in faith. He’s placed you where you are for a reason, and His grace will not fail you.

I remember several years ago I was working at a restaurant and I was trying to hard to succeed. An old friend came up and said hey man your transmission is slipping. What?? Yeah you’re spinning your wheels man. I would try so hard and the truth was it didn’t matter much at the time. After God revealed Himself I heard get used to hearing yes a whole lot more. With God I cannot fail. This season for me right now is full of blessing but at the same time it’s looooong. Like a slow burn. Grinding it out. But I trust in Him and keep praying. “I am living proof, of what holding on can do”
