Do You Accept?

“He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters, and all liars—they will be co-signed to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” (Revelation 21:6-8)

Yesterday, we talked about the greatest gift you can ever receive — eternity in paradise. Forever spent with the God of the universe in the most unimaginably perfect place, far beyond your wildest dreams. There is more...for you; there is no cost. Jesus already paid it. He died on the cross for you. You do not have to pay a cost. You only have to accept what He has already done.

John 3:16 tells us exactly what He did, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” What a love, that God would literally give His one and only Son so that you and I can spend eternity in this paradise for no cost.

Christ defeated death, and for those who oppose Him, they will not just die once, but they will face a second death. He says in Revelation 21:7, “those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.” These are the believers, those who accept Jesus.

But for those who do not accept, Revelation 21:8 says, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murders, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

The greatest gift you could ever receive has already been paid for. For you and I, it comes without cost. Jesus already paid the price. But you must do one thing; you must accept Him. You must admit that apart from Him, you cannot reach paradise. We are broken, and we are sinners. We need Jesus. With Him, we can be part of those who are “victorious and will inherit all this.” Do you accept?
