God Turn It Around
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28
If you have been a believer for any significant amount of time, you probably have heard the famous verse found in Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
It is a verse many use to encourage others who have messed up or screwed up. See, at some point or another (likely on many different occasions), you will mess up. You will make a mistake that, if given the opportunity, you would do the whole thing differently. But that is just not the way the world works. You are forced to go on and live with the consequences of the decision you made.
That is just a part of life. You cannot change what has already happened. You can only learn from it and grow moving forward, but that does not protect you from the consequences of the decisions and actions you have already made. And that is why this verse is so popular.
Because no matter what you have done, God really can turn it around. If you love Him, and you are living, called according to His purpose, He will work ALL things for your good. This does not mean all things will be good. But all things He will work for good. And no one is too far gone for this!
Jeremiah 15:19 tells us, “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.’”
God is not done with you. No matter the mistakes you have made, He can turn things around. And if you will repent, He promises to restore you to the point that “you will be my spokesman,” He says. That’s amazing, isn’t it? Even though you have made countless mistakes, God has a plan for you to speak on His behalf. No matter where you are, God can and WILL turn it around!
