He Allowed It

“In His kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.” - 1 Peter 5:10 
 
 
I want to tell you the brutally honest truth today. You may not want to hear it… you might even struggle to believe it… but I assure you, it is the cold hard truth. Are you ready for it? The difficulties you are facing in life right now…God ALLOWED.  
 
Many believers like to disassociate God from bad things. They site things like, “God never tempts you,” “God isn’t the reason you failed,” or “You are paying for the decisions you made, that is not God’s fault.”  
 
While all of these statements might be true, it does not mean God is totally disassociated. Because at the end of the day, who is in control? Whatever it is you are going through, whatever difficult, trying, or hard times you find yourself in, the brutally honest truth is that God allowed you to be there. 
 
There is a purpose in where you are right now, and God wants you to find that purpose. He is a good God, and only good comes from Him. We know what Romans 8:28 tells us, “…that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.”  
 
God is good. He works everything for good. But He does not shield us from all bad things. God will allow difficult, hard, or even bad things to happen to us or in our lives to grow our faith. It is in these tough times that true growth happens, and our dependence on Him is at its highest.  
 
Whatever you are going through, be encouraged knowing that God either orchestrated it, or at the very least He allowed it. There is a purpose for this season of your life. Ask Him to reveal that purpose to you so that you can gain all that He intended in this chapter of your life!
