Ignored
“This is why I speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.” - Matthew 13:13
Over the last few days, we have been pushing you to share what Jesus has put on your heart. And I do not want to stop today because this is such an important topic of conversation. As a believer, Jesus designed you for a specific purpose. As a HUMAN, Jesus designed you for a specific purpose.
Who you are in this world — the family you were born into, where you live, the personality and characteristics that make you YOU, the experiences you have been through — all of that has shaped who you are and who God wants you to be. God places things on our hearts that He wants us to share with those around us.
That is our mission as believers: to share the love of Christ! Yes, we want to share the Good News of what Jesus did on the cross. But it’s more than that. We also want to share the specific messages and challenges He gives us. Whether it is things we have directly gone through or things He wants us to share because others are going through it.
Now, when you share your truths, different people will have different responses. Some, will love you and love your message. These are the people that will follow you on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. They will like all your posts and comment on how great you are. Then there are those who will hate you. These are what we call “keyboard warriors.” They will dog you behind a screen.
But what about a third category…some will simply ignore you. They will listen. They will hear what you have to say. But they won’t do anything about it. They will continue living the same way, as if you never said anything. They can ignore you for all different reasons; they might disagree with you or they might just simply be uninspired to make a change.
What I want to remind you of today is that it is not your job to make them do what you say. You are simply the messenger. God will take care of the rest. Whether they love you, hate you, or ignore you, it doesn’t change your job. Give the message, and let God handle the rest!

We must do our part, as we are led by the Spirit, and He will do the rest. He is so faithful!
