No Pressure

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” - John 14:27

Has someone ever told you to do something, made it seem so simple as if anyone can do it, and then added the end, “No pressure”? It’s like just by saying that, your blood pressure rises and you begin to feel uneasy. They said no pressure, but now there is all the pressure in the world!

Well, I want to speak some peace over you today. With God, there really is NO PRESSURE. When you are obedient, He takes full responsibility to make sure your needs are met and that you are protected. If you have everything you need, and you are not harmed, what pressure is there?

We have spent the last few days talking about sharing the truths built up inside of us. When God gives us a message, we should share it with whomever He lays on our hearts to share it. But after you share it, there is no pressure.

Whether they like you or your message, or they hate you and your message, it is nothing on you. Whether they respond to your message, or they ignore it and don’t make a single change, it is nothing on you. Whether they show up and listen, or check out and leave, it is nothing on you.

As a believer, God calls you to be obedient to Him. That is it. When you are obedient, you will be taken care of and you will be protected. Those are promises from God given to us through Scripture. You do not have to worry then. There truly is no pressure!

So, what are you afraid of? What is holding you back from sharing the message God has laid on your heart? God does not hold you responsible for the audience’s reactions or responses. That is between them and God. The only thing He wants you to do is what He calls you to do: SHARE IT!

My friend, it’s time to share it and be at peace because of your obedience! There really is no pressure!
