Made in The Image of God

“So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” - Genesis 1:27
 
Over the next three days, we are going to talk about the divine blueprint of God. Scripture says in Psalm 100:3, “know that the Lord, He is God, it is He who made us. We are His.” There are three statements we are going to look at specifically: we are made in the image of God, we are made with the intentionality of God, and we are made with the infinity of God.  

As we think about being made in the image of God, I want you to think about Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Polo. We aren’t talking about generic or off-brand merchandise. I want you to know that when it comes to humanity, there are no off-brands. There are no generics. I need you to know that you have been stamped with the greatest logo of all history that no one can copyright.
 
God has put His logo on you as a statement of validation and certification that you are not the product of happenstance. There is nothing accidental about you. You are loved by the God who made you, formed you, and fashioned you. When we think about the image of God, Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”

I don’t care who you are. If you are reading this right now, you were made in the image of God. He made you to be exactly who you are. And if you still have breath, He has a purpose for your life. You might think you are too far gone, or that you have done things that there is no way God could forgive.
 
Well, I have good news for you. He has. He has forgiven you, and He wants to use you for greater things than you could ever imagine! Allow the God who made you in His image to write the story of your life, starting today!
