What Are You Worried About?

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” - Isaiah 26:3

We serve a God who is a peace giver and hope dealer. We serve a God who knows everything about us and chooses to love us despite that. We are fully known and fully loved. God knows everything that is going to happen in our lives.

He knew everything about us, everything that would take place in us, around us, and through us, from before we were even born. There is nothing we have done or could do that would surprise Almighty God.

See, nothing surprises Him, because He knows everything. But He not only knows everything; He is also in control of everything. There is nothing that will happen to you that He didn’t orchestrate or allow.

And because of this, you know what? You don’t have to be afraid! The reason you don’t have to be afraid is because if you serve a God who knows all things and is in control of all things, then what do we have to worry about?

God promises if we love Him and are called according to His purpose, He will work all things for our good. So why do we worry?

It might be easier said than done, but it is no less true. When we worry, we are revealing where we lack trust in God. See, the things you worry about the most reveal where you trust God the least. There is no part of your life that is outside of His control.

If you trust God with your eternity – you trust God with your final destination, where you are going to spend every breath after you die, and you rest easy in that – why do you struggle to trust Him with your life on earth?

What are you worried about? What area of your life are you struggling to trust God with? Give it to Him. In the same way you have placed your eternity in His hands, place your earthly concerns in His hands.
