It’s Time To Do The Thing

“For God says, ‘At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.’ Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.” - 2 Corinthians 6:2 
 
If you are here right now, reading this devotion, I want you to know that there is no coincidence. You are EXACTLY where you need to be because today is the day. You say, “Pastor, today is the day for what?”  

Today is the day you start. If you just read that sentence. You know exactly what I mean. In fact, just reading that, the Holy Spirit just tugged on your heart because whatever that is for you came to mind immediately. It is time to do the thing. You know, the thing that you have been promising God that you would do for quite some time now.
 
What that is will be different for everyone. It could be starting that YouTube channel for your business. It could be sharing the gospel with your neighbor. It could be quitting that bad habit you have let loom in your life for far too long. It could be moving to the place God called you to.

What it is, only you know. But you do know. God is tugging on your heart. And it is no accident you are reading this right now. He wants to tell you, no more waiting around. The time is now. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “For God says, ‘At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.’ Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.”
 
Listen, we only have so much time on this earth. And as cliché as it sounds, none of us are promised tomorrow. If God has called you to do it, I promise you will not regret it. But there is no more time to put it off. You need to go NOW. The time is now. It’s time to do the thing!
