Challenging God
“’Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,’ says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!’” - Malachi 3:10
Have you ever challenged God? Put Him to the test? You might read those questions and immediately get nervous. “No pastor, why would I challenge or test God? He is all-powerful... He could destroy me.”
I would argue that He would do quite the opposite. He is not some insecure God that cannot be challenged. Have you ever noticed people who don’t like to be challenged or tested on their knowledge or abilities? It is usually the insecure people. They don’t want to mess up or be proven wrong.
Well, God cannot be proven wrong. He is always right. And you are right, He is all-powerful. And that is why He will answer your challenge or test!
Malachi 3:10 says, “’Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,’ says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!’”
God does not fear your tests. If you have questions, He wants you to bring them to Him! He wants you to be honest and tell Him how you really feel! What do you need Him to do? What are you worried about? Bring it all to God! Test Him.
He will respond to your tests. He loves when you put Him in the position to prove Himself. And the best part? He will always come through. That is the type of God He is! Have you been slow to challenge or question God? Bring Him your questions. Put Him to the test. He will surely respond and prove His greatness to you!
