He Already Proved It
“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” - Isaiah 54:17
Did you know that when you belong to God, you belong to the most powerful being in the world? Yesterday, we looked at the story of a normal guy who could not get into a club. His name wasn’t on the list.
But once he called his famous, influential, powerful friend, his friend made sure he was allowed in. The friend with the power had the ability to alter everything. And you know what he said to the normal guy? “I got you.”
That phrase, “I got you,” tells us, “I’ll take care of it, don’t worry about it, I’ll fix things for you.”
But did you know God does the same thing for us? He’s got us! Whatever it is we are going through, He is saying, I will take care of it. Don’t worry about it. I will fix things for you.
He says in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
That is right. No matter what others try to do to you, scheme against you, and prepare to stop you with, it will not work. When God is on your side, you will prevail. Do you not think that the God who sent His Son to overcome death on the cross for you will have your back, again?
Did He not already prove Himself to you? He had you once, and He’s had you ever since. Today, rest in the peace of God’s grace. Whether you deserve it or not, God’s got you.
