God Loves You

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8

Did you know that when you are at your worst, God is chasing after you? That’s right, God isn’t sitting up in heaven on His high horse, judging all the mistakes you have made. He is a loving Father who wants a relationship with you.

The truth is, you are never too far gone for God. You might be too far gone in the eyes of your peers. Your co-workers, your friends, and even your family might not have any faith you can turn it around, but God does.

Because it is not you who turns it around, it is Him in you. But why? Why would He even do that for you? You think to yourself, “Pastor, I don’t deserve another chance. I don’t deserve to be chased. I don’t deserve any of it. Why would God chase after me?”

The reason is because He LOVES you. That’s right. God loves you…not because of what you have done, but because of who He is. Do you want to know how much He loves you?

Romans 5:8 says, “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

God didn’t just send Jesus to die for those that sinned before the cross. He died for everyone who would ever sin after it as well. That means Jesus went to the cross, knowing that you would betray Him. Not once, but again...and again...and again.

Why would He do that? Why would God sacrifice His Son, put Him through all that pain, when you and I are going to sin time and time again?

He did it because He loves us. It is a never-ending love that, while we are on this earth, we will never understand. But just because we don’t fully understand it, doesn’t mean we can’t accept it.

God is ready for you to turn to Him. He sent His son to die for you. And He did it because He loves you. That love is unconditional, and it is not based on anything you have done. When are you going to accept the love of God for who HE IS and not for what you have done?
