He’s Got You
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9
If you really want to be different and show others the love of Christ, you should put them above yourselves. That is what God has commanded us to do. Yet, unfortunately, so few people actually follow through with that command.
We live in a “me first” world, and even many believers have adopted this way of thinking. It is easy when everyone seems to “get there’s” to want to do the same thing. We can think, “If everyone is taking care of themselves, who is going to take care of me...if not me?”
But there is an answer to that question, and His name is Jesus. Too often we think if we love others more than ourselves, and worry more about the needs of others, who is going to take care of us?
What I want you to understand is that when you obey God, He takes care of everything else. Yes, that includes YOU. Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
You do not have to worry about who will take care of you because you have the greatest caregiver of all on your side. God is taking care of you. Now it’s time for you to put others before yourself.
Love God first, then others, then you. That is what He has commanded. When you are obedient, you will be rewarded. When you live in His will, He will take care of you.
He’s got you. So now, who do you have?
