What You Want Most
“Yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” - Proverbs 2:3-5
Did you know you can have what you want most? That’s right. God wants to give you the thing(s) you want most in life. Now, before you go off and do your own thing, thinking God will just bless you in the pursuit of your every wish, you must understand something...
What you want most is actually God’s will. Did I take the air out of your sails? I shouldn’t have. Because what you will realize as you pursue God, spend time with God, and learn how He thinks is that something cool happens.
What God wants for you will become what you want for yourself. Your desires will be His desires for you. And when those match up, you can count on God giving you what you truly desire.
Proverbs 2:3-5 says, “Yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.”
Do you want to live a life where what you want most is more than just a wish or dream? It is possible. But it starts with pursuing God. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
It starts with delighting yourself in Him. Spend time with Him. Spend time in prayer. Spend time in His Word. When you do, you will start to gain wisdom and understand the mind of God. That is when your desires will align with His will.
When you do this, you can have whatever it is that you want most. It’s not a dream, not a wish, rather it’s truly possible for you! But it starts by finding the knowledge of God!
