REAL Faith
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.” - Hebrews 11:6
Have you ever stopped to think about all the things faith takes care of? Seriously, how many of your problems would be solved just by faith?
It is said that “Where a man worries most reveals where he trusts God the least.” Do you have serious fears or anxiety? Would you have those if you completely surrendered and trusted God with your life?
Do you worry about how you are going to pay the mortgage, make your car payment, and take care of the baby that’s on the way? Do you not think God would take care of you if you just had faith and trusted Him enough to give Him 10%?
That drug, alcohol, or porn addiction that you can’t break...you don’t think God can lead you to overcome it? Are you just accepting the fact that you are going to be an addict for the rest of your life that continues to lose the battle?
If you could improve anything in your life, what would it be? I want you to take a second and think about that question. Maybe you have an answer right away. Now, I want to ask you a second question: how would that problem or situation change if you had faith in God?
Not just “Oh yeah I trust you, God.” But REAL faith that led you to move in an actionable way, trusting that God would do what He says He will do. How would your life change?
Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.”
You say, “Yeah, I mean, I trust God, it’s just...” Nope. Stop there. Trust, faith, they don’t say “it’s just...” They don’t say, “I trust but...” There are no “buts” with real faith.
How could real faith change your life? What if the thing you would improve or change about your life, you acted upon with the faith that God would do what He said He would do? How would your life change? Now, what’s holding you back?
