Manifestation Gifts
“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit.” - 1 Corinthians 12:7-8
As we come to the end of looking at the types of spiritual gifts God blesses us with, I want you to take a look at what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:7-8:
“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit.”
Manifestation gifts are the gifts God gives to help bless others in a variety of different ways. These gifts could be through words of wisdom, words of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, or interpreting tongues.
God gives us these gifts in order to pour into the lives of both non-believers and our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. The word “manifestation” is defined as an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.”
In other words, a manifestation gift is when God’s Holy Spirit exposes His supernatural power through you in order to bring glory and honor to God’s Kingdom.
Just like with the motivational and ministry gifts, manifestation gifts were not given to us to collect dust on the shelf. God wants you to first identify what your spiritual gifts are and then begin to learn how to use them to bring glory to Him.
So, how are you going to use your spiritual gifts for God? Who can you start serving and blessing with your spiritual gifts today? How do your spiritual gifts fit into God’s plan for your life?
Answer these questions and start to put your spiritual gifts into effect for God’s glory today!
