Choosing Life in Christ
"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." - Deuteronomy 30:19
In the journey of life, we are faced with a crucial choice: are we going to embrace life in Christ or succumb to the grip of sin and death? Let's explore the profound benefits of choosing life in Christ over the path of darkness, and how this choice brings forth blessings not only for ourselves but also for future generations.
Life in Christ is a journey filled with blessings, purpose, and eternal significance. It is a deliberate decision to align our hearts and minds with God's will, to surrender our lives to His loving guidance, and to walk in obedience to His Word. In making this choice, we open ourselves up to a multitude of benefits that far surpass the temporal pleasures of sin.
When we choose life in Christ, we experience the gift of salvation and eternal life. Through His sacrificial death and resurrection, Jesus offers us forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and the hope of spending eternity in His presence. We are no longer enslaved to sin and its consequences, but instead, we are set free to live in the abundance of God's grace.
Choosing life in Christ allows us to experience a deep and fulfilling relationship with our Heavenly Father. We become children of God, embraced by His love and guided by His wisdom. He walks with us through every season of life, offering comfort, strength, and direction. We have access to His peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of life's storms.
As we walk in obedience to God's commands and surrender our lives to His purposes, we become instruments of His love, grace, and redemption. We have the privilege of being used by Him to bring light into darkness, to offer hope to the brokenhearted, and to share the life-transforming message of the Gospel.
Today, I want to encourage you to reflect on the choice before you: life or death, blessings or curses. Choose life in Christ, knowing that in Him, you will find true fulfillment, joy, and purpose. Embrace the abundant life He offers and allow His love to flow through you, impacting not only your own life but also the lives of future generations.

Pastor, you indicated a "deliberate decision" to make a choice. So many people don't understand that by not choosing to follow Christ, that too is deliberate. In either choice we can or won't, choose to align our hearts and minds, surrender our lives, and walk in obedience. Either decision has an outcome whether or not we want to accept it, God has given us the Gift of Free Will, so use it wisely. The temporal pleasures of sin will lead us to a lifetime of consequences that we must be prepared for if we don't heed the warnings from Heaven. I reflect on my life, and before I made that decision to follow Christ, I was a child of this fallen world. That changed when Jesus gave His blood for my sins, through grace AND mercy I was redeemed. My final thought, if God can transform Saul (murderer) to Paul (Apostle), how much more is He willing to transform us for His Kingdom work. Hallelujah!!!!
