Changing Us to Change Others

"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." - 2 Corinthians 3:18

Sometimes, we may find ourselves going through challenging seasons of change and growth, wondering why God is leading us through such transformations. In these moments, it's essential to challenge our perspective and consider that God might be changing us so that we can become agents of change in the lives of others.

Today’s key verse reminds us that, as we contemplate the Lord's glory, we are being transformed into His image. Our lives become a canvas where God's masterpiece unfolds, and His glory radiates through us.

Consider the story of Joseph in the Bible. He experienced numerous hardships and trials that led to significant changes in his character and faith. Eventually, God used him to bring deliverance and restoration to his family and an entire nation.

In times of change, it's natural to focus on our discomfort or uncertainty. Yet, we must remember that God's plans are far-reaching and purposeful. As He molds us, He equips us to impact the lives of others positively.

Embracing God's transformative work in our lives requires trust and surrender. It's an opportunity to grow in faith, deepen our dependence on Him, and develop a heart of compassion for those around us.

Instead of resisting change, let us lean into it with openness and willingness. Allow God to refine your character, align your heart with His, and equip you to be a vessel of His love and grace.

You never know how your transformed life may inspire, encourage, or bring hope to someone else facing similar struggles. Your testimony of God's faithfulness amidst change can be a powerful instrument in the hands of the Master.

A simple example of this is that I routinely "Thank God I married a Mormon" (the title of a book I'm writing) 44 years ago. Without this trying marriage I might never have been the student of the Bible I became, nor a devoted follower of Christ, nor a defender of the faith against many false prophets, I would never have thrilled at the opportunity to rescue untold numbers of folks who were being lured into Mormonism, and other false religions...and I may never have gained an appetite for person to person evangelism.
