Looking Ahead
The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.- Proverbs 14:15
We live in a world that often prioritizes instant gratification and short-term gains. That is why it can be easy to make decisions with only the present moment in mind. Yet, wisdom calls us to look ahead and consider the long-term consequences of our actions.
Think about the decisions you make on a daily basis. Do you pause to consider how they might impact your future? Do you weigh the potential outcomes before moving forward?
The truth is that every choice we make has ripple effects that extend far beyond the immediate moment. Whether big or small, our decisions shape the trajectory of our lives and influence the opportunities and challenges we'll encounter down the road.
That's why it's essential to cultivate a mindset of wisdom and foresight. Instead of acting impulsively or recklessly, let us pause to consider the implications of our choices and seek guidance from the One who sees the end from the beginning.
Proverbs 14:15 reminds us that the prudent give thought to their steps. They don't rush headlong into decisions without considering the consequences; instead, they weigh their options carefully and seek counsel from those who have walked the path before them.
I want to encourage you today to look ahead with wisdom. Consider the long-term impact of your decisions and seek God's guidance in every choice you make. Ask Him to grant you insight and discernment, so that you may walk in alignment with His will and experience the abundant life He has planned for you.
Remember, the choices you make today will shape your tomorrow. Choose wisely, and may your steps be guided by wisdom, prudence, and faith in the One who holds your future in His hands.

Dear Pastor Ed, your Devotional is so impactful!
nI have made many mistakes by not taking the time to pray first. I have been praying and thanking the Holy Spirit to help me to remember to rely on His guidance and not my own.
n The difference now is that I am slowing down and allowing my decisions and circumstances to be led by Him, and not me. He will always do a much better job then me. I am so grateful His love for all of us is unconditional and always the perfect direction in our lives.
nBlessings to you and your family,â¤ï¸!!!
nMuch loveâ¤ï¸ in Christ,🕊ðŸ™!!!
