God Will Change Your Heart

"And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." - Ezekiel 36:26

Spending time with God has a transformative effect on our hearts. As we draw closer to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and worship, He begins to mold and shape our hearts to be more like the heart of Jesus.

The more time you spend in God's presence, the more you begin to understand His character. You start to see the world through His eyes and develop a deep sense of love and empathy for others. Your priorities shift from self-centered desires to a genuine concern for the well-being of those around you. This change isn’t instantaneous but occurs gradually as you consistently seek God.

When God changes your heart, you become more patient and forgiving. Jesus exemplified these qualities throughout His ministry, and as we spend time with Him, He teaches us to respond to situations and people with grace. Instead of holding onto grudges or reacting out of anger, we learn to extend mercy and understanding, just as Christ did.

A heart transformed by God is characterized by a spirit of servanthood. Jesus came not to be served but to serve, and He calls us to do the same. With a heart like Jesus, we find joy in serving others, putting their needs above our own, and acting with humility. We begin to see opportunities to help and bless others as privileges rather than burdens.

God changes our desires and ambitions. Where we once might have sought personal gain or recognition, we now strive to honor God in all that we do. Our ambitions align with His will, and we pursue goals that advance His kingdom rather than our own. This shift brings a sense of fulfillment and purpose that only comes from living according to God’s plan.

Reflect on your own heart. Are there areas where you need God’s transformative touch? As you spend more time with Him, ask Him to reveal those areas and to change your heart to be more like Jesus. Embrace the process, knowing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.
