The One Who Holds the Future
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." - Matthew 6:34
It's easy to get caught up in worries about the future. We wonder what will happen with our jobs, relationships, finances, and health. We try to predict and control outcomes, only to find ourselves more stressed and anxious. But God calls us to a different way of living-one that focuses not on our circumstances, but on Him, the One who holds our circumstances.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34, "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." This verse reminds us to take life one day at a time, trusting that God is in control. Worrying about the future doesn't change our circumstances; it only robs us of today's peace.
When we fix our eyes on God instead of our problems, we find a source of strength and comfort. God knows every detail of our lives, and He is faithful to provide for our needs. Philippians 4:19 reassures us, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trusting in God's provision frees us from the burden of worry.
God wants us to depend on Him daily, trusting that He will take care of our needs. When we focus on our circumstances, we can feel overwhelmed and anxious. But when we shift our focus to God, we find peace in His presence and confidence in His plans.
Are you trusting God with your future, or are you trying to control it yourself? Are you more focused on your problems than on the One who can solve them? Take time today to surrender your worries to God. Pray and ask Him to help you trust Him more deeply.
Remember that God holds your future in His hands. He knows your needs and cares about every detail of your life. By focusing on Him, you can find peace and assurance, knowing that He is working all things together for your good.
Let go of the need to control and predict your future. Instead, place your trust in God, who holds your future. He is faithful, and He will guide you each step of the way. By focusing on Him, you can live with peace and confidence, no matter what the future holds.
