Will You Answer His Call?
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me." - Revelation 3:20
Jesus never stops pursuing you. Even when you feel distant from Him, He’s right there, knocking on the door of your heart, calling you back. If you’ve ever felt like God is far away, it’s important to remember that He hasn’t left you, you’ve distanced yourself. But the good news is that Jesus is always chasing you down, ready to pull you back into His arms. The real question is, will you answer?
The truth is, we often get caught up in running life on our own terms. We drift away, making choices that push us further from God. But even when we stray, Jesus doesn’t give up on us. He keeps pursuing, knocking, waiting for us to respond. But if we ignore that call, if we don’t answer when He chases us down, we’re choosing to live life our own way, and that’s a dangerous path.
God’s love is relentless, but it’s also a choice. He won’t force His way into your life, you have to open the door. Jesus knocks because He desires a relationship with you, a deep and meaningful connection. But when you choose to ignore that call, you’re choosing a life disconnected from the very One who knows you best, the One who created you with purpose.
When you feel Jesus pursuing you, don’t push Him away. Don’t let pride, fear, or shame keep you from answering His call. Instead, turn back to Him, open the door, and let Him into your life. When you do, He promises to meet you right where you are, to restore what’s broken, and to lead you back onto the path He’s set before you.
The choice is yours: will you keep running, or will you open the door and let Him in? God is knocking, and He’s not going to stop. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Answer Him today and let Him show you the life He’s been calling you to live all along. His love is waiting. Will you respond?
