What You Meant…

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” - Genesis 50:20

Over the last couple of days, we have looked at how Jonah was able to convince the city of Nineveh that they needed to repent, or God was going to destroy them. But there is something extremely important I want you to see in this story.

See, it was the thing that Jonah did, running from God, that landed him in the mouth of the big fish. And yet, it was the big fish that gave Jonah the voice to be able to speak to the Ninevites with credibility in a way that they would listen.

You get that, right? What you thought you were doing to get away from God, God actually gave you the very thing that you needed for the place you were called to. Now, if Jonah would have actually gone from this location to Nineveh, would God have prepared a way? Absolutely.

But what gave him more favor? Coming out of that fish! So the moment that Jonah actually thought He was winning, God was like, “Nope, I’ve got you right where I want you because this is going to be the thing that opens the door of opportunity for you to follow my plan and my will.”

Genesis 50:20 says, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”

If you are reading this, I want you to understand today that there are NO LIMITS to what God can do in and through you. When you think you have gotten away from Him, you might actually be where He wants you. He will use even the things you “messed up” for His glory. He will use it all!

That is why it is never too late for you. Turn to God, because He is ready to use your story, all of your story, to do amazing things in and through you!
