In Accordance with Him

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20

Are you waiting on God to bless you? Maybe you have been praying for a long time, waiting for God to do something in your life, and it just seems like He is never going to answer. If you can relate, then the next couple of days’ devotions are for you.

Does God really answer our prayers? I am here to tell you today, “YES! God answers our prayers.” But that does not mean He always answers them the way we want Him to. God has a will. His will is made up of the purposes and plans He has for our lives. His will is greater than anything you could ever imagine.

You could never create, design, imagine, or draw up a better life for yourself than God has in mind for you. So why would you want something God doesn’t want for you? Unfortunately, many believers think they know what they need or want better than God does. So, without even asking Him, they pray for things that are actually outside of His perfect will.

If you want God to answer your prayers, you need to pray for things that align with His will. Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

God wants to answer your prayers. But He wants you to pursue His will over your own wants. As you get to know Him better and build your relationship with Him, what He wants for you will become what you want for yourself. When that alignment takes place, God will answer your prayers with a resounding “YES,” but only when what we are asking is in accordance with His will!
