The Mission of Jesus
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21
During the Christmas season, we joyfully celebrate the birth of Jesus, the miraculous arrival of the Son of God into our world. His birth is indeed a momentous occasion, marked by wonder, joy, and adoration. However, it's important to remember that the significance of Jesus' birth extends beyond the manger. His birth was the beginning of a mission that would forever change the course of human history.
In Matthew 1:21, we are given insight into the purpose of Jesus' coming: "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins." While the birth of Jesus is a cause for celebration, it is equally essential to recognize the profound mission He came to fulfill.
The birth of Jesus represents God's love and grace in tangible form. It is God's divine intervention into a broken world, a demonstration of His desire to reconcile humanity to Himself. Jesus was born to save us from our sins and to offer us forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Him.
The mission of Jesus was marked by compassion, healing, and teaching. He reached out to the marginalized, healed the sick, and delivered a message of hope and redemption. His life exemplified love and selflessness, setting an example for us to follow.
As we celebrate His birth, let us not forget His mission. Jesus came to offer us salvation, to free us from the bondage of sin, and to reconcile us to our Heavenly Father. His mission was fulfilled on the cross, where He willingly bore our sins, providing the way for us to be made right with God.
This Christmas, let the celebration of Jesus' birth be a reminder of the mission He accomplished on our behalf. Embrace the fullness of His love, grace, and forgiveness. Recognize the life-changing impact of His mission in your own life and the lives of those around you.
As we exchange gifts and share in the joy of the season, may we also share the message of Jesus' birth and mission. Let us reflect His love, grace, and compassion to a world in need of hope and salvation. In doing so, we not only celebrate the birth of our Savior but also continue His mission, sharing the good news of His salvation with others.

These Christmas Devotionals are a beautiful blessing and a loving reminder of how much our Savior's love is for us. We are blessed to have your words of daily wisdom.
One morning I was driving home after a 12 hour shift on a Christmas morning and I was feeling the blues.
As I was driving by all the beautiful decorations of the season the Lord lead me to see the true meaning of Christmas of our Lord and Savior's birth and His continous love for us.
I still love all of the seasons celebration and joyfulness of Christmas but now the Lord has allowed me to also have a deeper meaning of why we are celebrating.
🕊Blessings to you and your sweet family on these glorious days of our Savior's love.
Much love in ChristðŸ™
