God Is Not Bound by Time

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord." - Isaiah 55:8

Time often feels like it’s slipping through our fingers. Deadlines, schedules, and the ticking clock can make us anxious, especially when we’re waiting for God to move in our lives. But it’s crucial to remember that God is not bound by time. He operates on His own divine timeline, which is perfect and beyond our understanding.

The story of Abraham and Sarah is a powerful reminder of this truth. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations, yet years passed without the fulfillment of this promise. Abraham and Sarah were well advanced in years—far beyond the age of childbearing. Sarah even laughed at the thought of having a child at her age.

But God, who is not limited by time, fulfilled His promise in His perfect timing. At the age of 100, Abraham became the father of Isaac, and Sarah, at 90, bore a son. Their story shows that God’s timing is often different from ours, but it is always perfect. His delays are not denials but are part of His divine plan to bring about His purposes in the best possible way.

When you feel like time is running out, remember that God is eternal. He exists outside of our time constraints and sees the beginning and the end simultaneously. What seems like a delay to us is a part of His perfect timing. He knows exactly when to act and how to bring about His promises.

Trusting God’s timing requires faith and patience. It means believing that He is working behind the scenes, even when we can’t see it. It means holding onto His promises, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill them. Like Abraham and Sarah, we may have to wait longer than we’d like, but God’s timing is always worth the wait.

God’s timing is perfect. He knows what we need and when we need it. His delays are often opportunities for us to grow in faith, patience, and trust. Keep believing that He is at work, even when it seems like nothing is happening. Trust that He will fulfill His promises to you at the right time.
