No Plan B
“‘Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.’ Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.”
- Revelation 7:3-4
- Revelation 7:3-4
The God you and I serve is all knowing, all consuming, and all powerful. We spoke a few days ago about how everything Satan and the anti-Christ will do during the tribulation is because God allows it. He is in complete control because He has all the power. And what is the best part of having all the power? There is no plan B.
God doesn’t need a plan B because nothing He does will ever fail. He has never failed, and He will never fail. All of his promises are sure. In Revelation 7, he speaks to the 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. Why Israel? Because God is a God of promise. He made a covenant relationship with Israel in the Old Testament, and even in these moments, He is keeping His promises.
There is not a plan B of salvation for the nation of Israel. There is only one way—it’s Jesus. The only way is by faith alone, grace alone, the cross alone, the empty grave alone, and in Christ alone. It is only Jesus. You might be thinking that you want to spend eternity with Christ (because you don’t want the alternative), but you are also thinking about how you can give your life to Christ and still do what you want.
It does not work that way my friend. With God, there is no plan B. No matter how smart you are, you will never find a way around it. If you want God, and you want to spend eternity in heaven with Him, you must be all in. When you give your life to God, He not only is Lord of your life one day in heaven. He is Lord of your life now.
Giving your life to Christ is the greatest decision you will ever make. But make no mistake about it—there is no plan B. He doesn’t just desire part of you. God wants all of you! But trust me. You’ll be amazed at what He will do when you give Him your whole heart!
