No Power Over You
“Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:6)
As you read the book of Revelation, and you see the destruction Satan, the anti-Christ, and the demons will cause on this planet, you must remember one thing: none of them have power over you. We have spent the last couple of days talking about choosing what you want most over what you want in the moment. And while it can be tempting, there is nothing those forces can do to make you choose what they are leading you towards.
As a follower of Christ, Jesus will always have your back, and He is the one with all the power. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” No matter what the enemy plans against you, if you are committed to God, you will not fall.
Satan does not hold power over you. He can tempt you. He can tell you lies. He can try to influence you into making certain decisions. But at the end of the day, the choice is still yours. And if you stay in God’s Word, you can reject all the temptations and lies Satan tries to put in front of you. Jesus did it. And He did it so that He could show you He has overcome the devil, and with His power, you can too!
