Sufficient Way
“He answered me, ‘I am all you need. I give you My loving favor. My power works best in weak people.’ I am happy to be weak and have troubles so I can have Christ’s power in me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9
We have spent time the last two days referencing that Jesus is both the SINGULAR WAY and the SPECIFIC WAY to heaven. He confirms this for us in John 14:6. “Jesus said, ‘I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by me.’”
As believers, we know there is no other way to heaven, and we know that the exact way is through Jesus. The Bible makes that very clear to us all throughout Scripture. But I want to add one more “way” today. Jesus is the SINGULAR WAY, the SPECIFIC WAY, and He is also the SUFFICIENT WAY.
Let’s not get lost in the narrow road we have been talking about. Yes, that is the only way. But it is the perfect way. JESUS is the perfect way. Jesus is sufficient for us, and He is all we need.
2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “He answered me, ‘I am all you need. I give you My loving favor. My power works best in weak people.’ I am happy to be weak and have troubles so I can have Christ’s power in me.”
Jesus, the singular and specific way, is also the sufficient way. He is all we need. He gives us loving favor! As a child of God, you are favored by Him. His power is at work within you. Not only does He give you the love you need and the favor to carry out His plan for your life, but He also gives you access to His power so that you can overcome any trouble you might face.
When you choose Jesus Christ, you make the ultimate right decision. Not only because you are choosing the singular, specific way, but because you are choosing the sufficient way who will provide everything you will ever need!
