Power of Prayer
“Because of this, I say to you, whatever you ask for when you pray, have faith that you will receive it. Then you will get it.” - Mark 11:24
Yesterday, we talked about how we often do not realize what we have in our hands. By hands, more specifically I mean what we have access to. As faithful believers, we have direct line access to God the Father.
This is a God who is all-knowing. He knows absolutely everything about everyone. This is a God who is all-present. He is everywhere at once. This means that He always has time for you and no problem of yours is too small for Him. But also, there is no problem too big, because He is all-powerful.
Through prayer, you have 24/7 access to an all-knowing, all-present, all-powerful God, the same God who created you, me, and the universe. Yes, that God is only a prayer away. It is prayer that sits in the palm of our hands. And the power of prayer is transformational.
Mark 11:24 says, “Because of this, I say to you, whatever you ask for when you pray, have faith that you will receive it. Then you will get it.” Here, God is saying when you have faith in Him, through your prayer, you will receive what it is you have requested.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not worry. Learn to pray about everything. Give thanks to God as you ask Him for what you need. The peace of God is much greater than the human mind can understand. This peace will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Through prayer, God can change your life. He can give you unexplainable peace in difficult circumstances. He can flip the script on what seems to be an inevitable result. He can change your heart to want what you wish you wanted, but through your sinful nature, you don’t.
There is no limit to what God can do, and prayer is the key. God will transform your life through prayer. That ability to pray rests in your hands. Do you understand how powerful this truly is, how powerful He truly is? Give it a try and find the power of prayer in your life, today!
