Will You Be Ready?

“The man who does not give up when tests come is happy. After the test is over, he will receive the crown of life. God has promised this to those who love Him.” - James 1:12

We have spent the last few days talking about the situations, circumstances, and people God either allows or intentionally places in your life for whatever purpose He might want. What we know by now is that, with God, nothing is “luck.” Everything has a purpose and a reason.

We know that within what God allows or ordains, there is an opportunity for wisdom to be gained. We also know from yesterday that God sets divine appointments, that there are moments in your life where you will be exactly WHERE He wants you to be at the exact TIME He wants you there. These are the divine appointments He has set for us.

We cannot escape them, and we cannot manipulate them. He has full control over when these moments come. The question is not what can we do about them, but when they come, will we be ready? James 1:12 says, “The man who does not give up when tests come is happy. After the test is over, he will receive the crown of life. God has promised this to those who love Him.”

God is PROMISING us the crown of life after the test is over. But it is during the test that we must be ready. How do we prepare? Through continuing to grow in our relationship with Him. When we are praying to God, seeking God, and depending upon God, we grow.

He places us in situations that breed growth. He toughens us, challenges us, and makes us think more. Everything we choose and everything we do leads us to who we will be when these divine appointments come our way. But remember, God does not force you to choose what He desires when these moments come.

How you respond is up to you. That response comes from who you are becoming and the growth you experience leading up to these moments. Are you growing in Christ? Are you prepared for anything and everything He might lead you to? When the time comes, and your appointment is here, will you be ready?

I was reflecting on 8/8 message which brought me to the Stay ready message. Maybe I have a hyper need to stay distracted which gets me where I shouldn't be. Thanks for re directing me😀
