The Hard Truth

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” - 2 Timothy 3:16

Yesterday, I asked you the question, “Are you a prophet?” Has God given you a truth or placed something inside of you that He wants you to share with the world? God does not put these things on our hearts for us to keep them to ourselves. God wants us to share with others so we can help people who are going through the same thing we are going through or have gone through!

And those truths are not just the easy ones. See, the Biblical prophets were willing to speak hard truths, even when those listening were not excited to hear what they had to say. See, sometimes we have to be willing to be confrontational if the situation comes to it.

That’s probably not what you thought you would read today, huh? Now, hear me right…I am not saying “you need to be more confrontational.” I am simply saying that you should not avoid confrontation and risk someone missing out on a message God wanted them to hear. That sometimes means saying the hard things even when no one wants to hear them.

The truth is, we all need accountability. We all need to be held responsible, and we all need constructive criticism. Sometimes, God wants you to be that voice in someone else’s ear. It doesn’t have to be, “Hey, you are screwing up. What are you doing?” But just by sharing your truth, God will convict their hearts and do what He wants to do with them.

It is not your job to worry about how they receive the message. God will handle that. What He wants is for you to share the truth even when that truth is hard!
