Here...NOW
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all His commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God.” - Deuteronomy 28:1-2
If you are a believer – someone who has accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior – then I want to ask you a question: Do you trust God? You might respond by saying, “Pastor, of course, I trust God. I have given my life to Him.”
And if that is you, that is great. But have you given your life NOW to Him or just your future life? Many believers accept Jesus as their Savior as a fire insurance policy. They don’t want to go to hell, so they give their life to Jesus. Now, this does not mean they do not believe in Jesus. They know Jesus died on the cross for them and loves them.
But they gave their life to Christ so that their future is secured. And to that I ask, what about here...NOW? Do you trust God with your life now? When you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, God gives you something: the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our guide while we are here on earth.
God never intended for us to figure out this life on our own. He wants to be our Lord not only in the next life but in this one HERE...NOW. Don’t just give your life to God and carry on doing your own thing. Give your life on earth to Him. Here...NOW! If you do, you will be blessed the way Deuteronomy 28 promises!
