He Loves You Beyond Imagination
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” - John 15:13
When your will differs from the will of God, what do you do? In other words, when your plans are not the same as His, which way do you ride? Do you go with the God of the universe who created you? Or do you cater to your own wants and desires?
Over the last week or so, we have been looking at the will of God. If you have followed along with us at all, you know that God’s will is the very best plan we could ever follow for our life. Even when it means sacrificing in the short term, God always has our best interest at heart for the long term.
But why should we listen to God? Why should we choose His ways over our ways? Many believers are just scared to oppose Him. So even if they disobey Him, they do it quietly, not wanting to stir anything up. But many wonder, WHY? Whether it sounds respectful or not, why should I choose God’s way?
If you have ever asked that question, you are in the right place. And you should first go read the last two days. There are three major reasons we should choose God’s will for our lives over our own.
First, God sees everything. He saw your past, present, and future, long before you even existed. Second, He knows everything. He knows all there is to know about everything related to your situation and circumstances. But lastly, He loves you beyond imagination.
It is one thing to serve a God who sees everything and knows everything; that is great. But it doesn’t mean much if He doesn’t have your best interest at heart. Fortunately for us Christians, we serve a God who loves us far beyond anything we could ever imagine.
John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
The God you serve sees everything. He knows everything. And He loves you beyond anything you could ever imagine. Why would you NOT choose His will? It is ALWAYS the best choice!
