Testimony of Transformation
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:2
Yesterday, we looked at how we can share our testimony with others. Your testimony is your account of the story of your encounters with Jesus. It’s how your life was before Jesus, and how it is now as a result of Jesus being in your life.
The decision to give your life to Him is the testimony of Salvation. But the story doesn’t stop there. See, after salvation, God does something. He gives us the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is what God has given us to live inside of us while we are here on earth.
And that Spirit does something amazing: it transforms us! Who you were before you gave your life to Christ drastically changes once you are saved. The Holy Spirit transforms us.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
After salvation, you have a testimony of transformation. You can share with others how God transformed you and changed your life. While you were once a sinner who gave into the ways of this world, you have been transformed in a way that leads you to Christ rather than the ways of this world.
Romans 12:2 tells us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
When you give your life to God, you have a testimony. You have a testimony of salvation and a testimony of transformation. These are powerful stories that can impact others around you. Who needs to hear your testimony? Who is waiting to hear the story of your salvation and transformation, today?
