What He Will Do
“For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” - Psalm 5:12
As we have discussed the last two days, we can thank God for what He has already done in our lives. And we can thank God for what He is currently doing in our lives. But you know what? We can also thank God for what He WILL DO in our lives.
Did you know that when God promises you something, you can walk and live as if it is already yours? What God gives you, no man can take away. And we know His promises are sure. That means that what God will do in your life is guaranteed. And you can live knowing He will deliver you, give to you, and bless you.
Psalm 5:12 says, “For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.”
As a child of God, you are favored. He has promises that He will give specifically to you. And as you wait on Him to deliver those promises, you can wait with the assurance of knowing it’s already yours.
This means that we do not have to wait for God to deliver us to thank Him. It’s already yours. Thank Him NOW. We don’t have to see it to thank God for it. His promises are sure; you know He will deliver, so why wait?
Thank God NOW. Thank Him for what He has already done in your life. Thank Him for what He is currently doing as He continues to work in and through your circumstances and thank Him for what He will do. Thank Him for the promises that He will keep and walk in a way as though you have already received your blessing.
How can you be frustrated when you walk with gratitude? It’s time to change perspective. Be thankful to the God who has, does, and continues to bless you!
