Before It’s Too Late

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” – Hosea 4:6

Are you ignoring God? Maybe God has given you specific instructions on what He wants you to do. It could be taking a job, ending a relationship, quitting an addiction, cutting off an old friend, or any number of things.

When God wants something and we are slow to react, He will make it very clear what His will for us is. At that point, it is what we do with His instruction that is most important. God has given all of us free will.

That means that we can choose to obey Him, or we can choose to do things our own way. One way leads to blessings and the other leads to destruction. The choice is yours. But here is the thing: You don’t have forever.

Some people make the mistake of thinking that they can delay their obedience to God, and at some point down the road, they can jump on God’s train and then start to obey Him. But God’s timing doesn’t work like that. You can’t just obey when you decide it is convenient.

That is a dangerous game to play because only God determines His timing. And if you ignore Him for too long, it could be too late.

Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Obey God NOW. You don’t want to look back one day and wonder, “What if I had just obeyed…” Delayed obedience is disobedience. When God speaks, listen. When God calls, act. Obey Him, and obey Him in His timing.
