He Transforms YOU
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:2
After giving your life to Jesus Christ, chasing after His heart is the best decision you will ever make. Many Christians get saved for their “fire insurance.” They give their life to Christ, taking care of their eternity, and then they want to live for themselves.
But God has called us to a life of so much more. God doesn’t just want you to trust Him with your eternity. He wants you to trust Him with your life here on earth. When you chase after the heart of God, He transforms YOU.
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
When you pursue God, you are deciding that you aren’t going to live the way the rest of the world lives. You aren’t going to chase after the things of this world, but you are going to renew your mind by chasing after the heart of God. When you do that, God will transform you.
It is as if you become a “new person.” This doesn’t mean your personality changes. But your character sure will. You will start to look at things the way Jesus looked at them. You will love people, serve people, and help people the way Jesus did.
You will find a peace that surpasses all understanding. You will gain wisdom about things you never previously knew. I could go on and on, but the important thing to know is that when you chase after the heart of God, He reveals Himself to you.
And in that process of revealing Himself, He transforms YOU. Do you want to be more like Jesus? Chase after the heart of God. The transformation you have been looking for might just be on the other side of that chase.
