Still in Control

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” - Romans 8:28

Are you struggling to figure out what you want to do with your life? Maybe something in your life took a wild turn and has left you scrambling. Maybe your spouse left you, someone you love is now gone, you lost your job, your family up and moved cities, or you realized that your big dream might not come true.

In these times, it is easy to lose hope. But hold on because everything that happens in your life happens for a purpose. God is still in control. Nothing that has happened or will ever happen to you surprises Him.

This is all part of God’s plan. Now, whether He orchestrated it or allowed it is a separate matter. But either way, God can use all things that happen in your life for YOUR good and His purpose. Romans 8:28 reminds us of this when it says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

No matter where you are, no matter what has happened, do not lose hope. The God you serve is still in control. He isn’t shocked. He isn’t surprised. He isn’t scrambling to figure out what His next move is. He knew all this was coming.

He is still in firm control of your life. And if you will remain faithful to Him, staying obedient, He will bless you. That might be hard to see in this moment but hold on because God uses all things for our good.

You don’t see it right now, but one day you will. Allow God to heal you and then allow Him to continue to work in your life. No matter what, God is still in control. He always has been, and He always will be.
