Starting Your Day with God

"In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly." - Psalm 5:3

Have you ever felt like your day is already off to a rough start before you even get out of bed? Maybe you hit snooze one too many times or you wake up feeling anxious about the day ahead. I’ve been there too, and that’s why I want to challenge you to start your day with God.

Psalm 5:3 reminds us that the Lord hears our voice in the morning and invites us to lay our requests before Him. This means that we can start our day by talking to God about our worries, our hopes, and everything in between. We can ask for His guidance and strength to face the day ahead, and we can trust that He will be with us every step of the way.

Now, I know that mornings can be tough. It can be tempting to hit snooze and stay in bed for a few extra minutes. But imagine what it would look like if you started your day with prayer and time alone with God. How would it change your perspective and attitude as you faced the challenges of the day?

Starting your day with God doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as taking a few minutes to pray, read a Bible verse, or listen to worship music before you get out of bed. It’s about making God a priority in your life and giving Him the first moments of your day.

When we prioritize God in our daily routines, we set ourselves up for a better day. We remind ourselves that God is in control and that we can trust Him with everything. And when we face challenges throughout the day, we can turn to Him for guidance and strength.

So, friends, let’s challenge ourselves to start our day with God. Let’s take a few minutes to pray, read our Bible, or simply sit in silence and invite God to be with us. As Psalm 5:3 reminds us, when we lay our requests before Him and wait expectantly, He hears us and is faithful to answer.

Let’s make God a priority in our lives, starting with our mornings. I believe it will make a difference in how we approach our day and how we grow in our relationship with Him.
