Love More, Judge Less

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." - Matthew 7:1-2

Today I want to talk to you about a topic that's been on my heart: loving more than we judge. It's so easy to judge others and make assumptions based on their actions or appearances. We often forget that we too have our own flaws and shortcomings. But as followers of Christ, we are called to love one another, just as He loves us.

In Matthew 7:1-2, Jesus warns us against judging others. He reminds us that the same measure we use to judge others will be used against us. We don't want to be judged harshly, so why do we feel the need to judge others? It's time to shift our focus from judging to loving.

Loving others doesn't mean we condone their actions or behavior. It means we choose to see them through the eyes of Christ, with compassion and empathy. We can't know the full extent of someone's struggles or challenges, so let's not be so quick to judge them based on what we see on the surface.

When we love more than we judge, we create an environment of acceptance and understanding. We allow people to be themselves, without fear of being judged or rejected. It's not always easy, but it's necessary if we want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in this world.

So, how can we love more than we judge? It starts with a shift in perspective. Instead of seeing people as their mistakes or shortcomings, let's see them as children of God who are worthy of love and respect. Let's choose to extend grace and forgiveness, just as Christ has done for us.

Let's also be mindful of our words and actions. Let's speak with kindness and avoid making assumptions. Let's seek to understand before jumping to conclusions. When we approach others with love and compassion, we create an environment of peace and unity.

Let's strive to love more than we judge. Let's extend grace and forgiveness and see others through the eyes of Christ. Remember, we are all flawed and in need of love and acceptance. Let's be the ones to offer it freely.
