The Truth of God
"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?" - Numbers 23:19
Today we're talking about the truth of God. There are a lot of voices out there in the world today, and it can be hard to know who to trust. But let me tell you something, friends: God only speaks the truth.
Numbers 23:19 says, "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?" This verse is a reminder that God is different than us. He is not like the people in our lives who might let us down or break their promises. God is faithful and true to His word.
So, what does this mean for us? It means that we can trust God completely. When He speaks to us through His Word, through prayer, or through the Holy Spirit, we can know that what He says is true. We don't have to second-guess ourselves or doubt His intentions. Instead, we can have confidence in His promises and in His love for us.
Of course, this doesn't mean that we won't face difficult times or struggle with doubts and fears. But even in those moments, we can turn to God and trust that He will guide us and lead us on the right path. As it says in John 8:32, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." When we seek out God's truth, we are set free from the lies and deceptions of the world.
So, my challenge for you today is to trust in the truth of God. Take some time to read His word, to pray, and to listen for his voice. And remember, "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?"
