Delayed but Not Denied: The Blessings of Sacrifice for God's Purpose
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33
In a world that encourages instant gratification and self-centered pursuits, it can be challenging to choose sacrifice and delay our desires for the sake of God's purpose. However, let us explore the abundant blessings that await those who prioritize God's kingdom and willingly sacrifice for His plan in their lives.
In our journey of faith, God often calls us to make sacrifices and lay aside our immediate desires for the sake of His higher purpose. It may involve sacrificing our time, comfort, resources, or even relationships. While it can be difficult and even counter-cultural, God assures us that our sacrifices are not in vain.
When we willingly choose to sacrifice and seek God's kingdom above all else, we position ourselves to receive His abundant blessings. These blessings may not always come in the form we expect or on our preferred timeline, but they are always greater and more fulfilling than anything we could have attained on our own.
Through sacrifice, we align our hearts and priorities with God's perfect will. We demonstrate our trust in His wisdom and surrender our own plans and ambitions. As a result, God opens doors, provides divine opportunities, and pours out His favor upon us in ways we could never have orchestrated on our own.
In the midst of sacrifice, we experience a deepening intimacy with God. As we choose to deny ourselves and follow His path, we draw nearer to Him, experiencing His presence, guidance, and comfort. The joy and fulfillment we find in Him far surpass any temporary pleasures the world offers.
Remember, that the blessings of sacrifice are not limited to the eternal rewards awaiting us in heaven. Even in this present life, God delights in blessing those who faithfully pursue His purpose. As we prioritize His kingdom and righteousness, He ensures that our needs are met and provides for our every need.
As you sacrificially pursue God's purpose and plan for your life, know that He sees your heart and will reward your faithfulness. The blessings that flow from a life surrendered to Him are immeasurable, bringing fulfillment, joy, and a lasting impact on the world around you. Stay steadfast, for the best is yet to come.

A life of sacrifice, submission and asking for God's timing as we live at our daily lives is a must for each of us. It's not easy but not impossible either. With God, all things are possible.
What motivates me are not receiving the blessings, but giving of myself to be used by God, through his power and presence, to serve others and demonstrate his love. The blessings are the icing on the daily cupcakes both given and received.
Thank you Pastor Ed for reminding us to remain steadfast and keep benefits of our daily sacrifices and waiting on God's timing. This IS THE Jesus WAY!!!!
