Greater Than You Can Imagine

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." - Ephesians 3:20

Many times, we hear pastors and spiritual leaders tempering expectations about what God wants to do in our lives. They share incredible stories of biblical heroes and modern-day testimonies of God’s miraculous works but often imply that such extraordinary events are not for everyone. This can make us feel like we are destined for ordinary lives. However, the truth is that what God wants to do in your life goes beyond anything you can imagine.

God is not limited by human expectations or confined to working only through a select few. He has infinite resources, limitless time, and a unique plan for each of His children. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 3:20 that God "is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." This means that God’s plans for you are far greater than anything you could dream up on your own.

Just look at the story of Joseph in the Bible. From a young age, Joseph had dreams that indicated a special purpose for his life. Yet, his journey was filled with betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment. Despite these setbacks, God’s plan for Joseph was far greater than anything he could have imagined. God used Joseph’s hardships to position him as the second most powerful man in Egypt, ultimately saving his family and many others from famine.

Similarly, God has a unique and extraordinary plan for your life. Your current circumstances, no matter how challenging, are part of a larger divine plan that He is working on in your life. God’s plan for you involves using His infinite resources to bring about His purposes in ways that exceed your wildest expectations.

Take heart and know that God’s plans for you are not limited by what you see around you. He has a purpose and a destiny for your life that is greater than anything you can comprehend. Stay obedient to His call, trust in His infinite wisdom, and believe that He is at work in ways you cannot yet see.

Imagine the possibilities of what God can do through you when you fully surrender to His will. Your story, filled with God’s grace and power, has the potential to inspire and impact others in incredible ways. Don’t limit God with small expectations. Allow Him to work in and through you and watch as His extraordinary plan unfolds in your life.
