The Grace Of God

“The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.” (Revelation 22:2)

The final verse, of the final book of the Bible, goes back to the very core character of God. We have already mentioned how consistent God is. His character never changes. The weather changes, your situation changes, even you change. But God remains the same. And this is represented by the final verse in all of the Bible.

Revelation 22:21 says, “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.” We have talked so much about the battle against Satan, the anti-Christ, and the demons. We have talked about the destruction that will happen to this very earth we live on today. We have talked about that apart from God, we are separated from eternity. But with Him, we are victorious.

That victory comes without cost for us. Jesus already paid the price. It is by His grace that we can spend eternity in heaven, that we can share in the reign of Christ for a thousand years, and that we can experience the new heaven and new earth that He is preparing for us. And what a glorious new heaven He is making to be as beautiful as a bride for her husband.

No matter what you have done, no matter what mistakes you have made, all of this is accessible to you if you choose Jesus. That is the grace of God. And here in the final verse, John says, “Let the grace of The Lord Jesus be with God’s people.

If you have accepted Christ, you are victorious. You will reign forever with Him. Your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. You are forgiven. You are loved. And you have access to the very grace that Jesus died for. It is not about you or anything you have done. It is all about Him. And because of Him, you can experience that grace. Today, and everyday, forever, and ever...and ever!
