Stay Ready

“But no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.” - Matthew 24:36 
 
 
As we continue to look at how we can prepare ourselves for the moments God has set for us, we come to the most important time of all. We know the Father sets divine appointments in our lives. He sets these for a number of different reasons. What we know is that without our consent, and often without warning, they are coming.  
 
But the most important of all divine appointments will be the day Jesus returns to earth. It is a day that no one knows. Matthew 24:36 says, “But no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.” 
 
We asked the question yesterday when a divine appointment comes upon you, will you be ready? Now I ask when THE divine appointment comes upon you, will you be ready?  
 
If Jesus returned right now, are you ready? Are your ducks in order? Have you made the impact you have hoped to make up to this point? Have you loved the way you want to love? Have you obeyed the way you wish you would obey? Have you cared for others in a way you would be proud of? And though you haven’t had time to reach your fullest potential, are you on track? Are you growing at a rate you are proud of? 
 
If Jesus came back right now, are you content with all that you are and all that you have done? We know our time is not out yet, but we never know when that moment will come. God wants you to stay ready so you ain’t gotta get ready. 
 
You never know when that moment will happen. So the only way to answer the questions above with a resounding “YES” is to stay ready. Remember my friend, stay ready so you ain’t gotta get ready.
