All Is NOT Lost
“The Lord says, ‘I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. I was I who sent this great destroying army against you. Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the Lord your God, who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced.” - Joel 2:25-26
Are you in a place where you just feel too far gone? Do you feel as though the time to make a difference for Jesus, to live the life you were made to live, has passed you up? I know reading a daily devotional is encouraging for so many people. The Lord speaks to them in ways so direct that it is as if it was written specifically for them.
Sadly though, there are others who can read the same message and think, “That’s great news for someone, but not for me.” They have convinced themselves, “I’m just too far gone. I’ve made too many mistakes, and time has run out on me.”
My friend, I am here to tell you today that if you are still breathing, time has not run out for you. All is not lost in your life. Because you are still breathing, God still has a purpose for you. He can still change your life, and He can use you to change the lives of others.
We know all throughout Scripture God takes what appear to be unqualified people, and He qualifies them to do amazing things for His Kingdom. And you know what? He can do the same thing in YOUR life!
Joel 2:25-26 reminds us that when all seems lost, God steps in. He says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts…” In other words, whatever it is they took from you, whatever it is they did to break you down, to make you believe you weren’t worthy, whatever they did to make you think you couldn’t impact the world…God can redeem it all.
Jesus says, “I’m going to give it all back to you.” My friend, All is NOT lost. God is ready to restore the time you have lost. Do you believe that your time is not finished? Are you ready to do what God made you to do? The time is NOW!
