Open To Sinners

“Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through Me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.” - John 10:9

Did you know that no matter who you are or where you are in life, Jesus' door is always open to you? That’s right. There is nothing you can do that will lead God to close His door on you. As we have looked at the last couple of days, Jesus' door is open to first-timers (non-believers), it is open to STRAYngers (believers who have strayed from Him), and it is also open to sinners.

As human beings, we are all sinners. No one but Jesus ever walked the face of the earth blameless and without sin. And though sin separated us from God, Jesus died to eliminate that separation.

Unfortunately, even as believers, even as we intend to follow the will of God, we still sin. There are many believers, who have not strayed away from God, at least in their personal relationship with Him. They still read their Bible every day, they pray consistently, and they even go to church regularly.

They have a deep relationship with God. But unfortunately, they also have a relationship with sin. Whether it is a secret lie, a bad habit, or strong addiction, they can’t seem to break free of something in their life.

What is even sadder is that it often prevents them from doing amazing things for God because they are constantly beating themselves up. Maybe you can relate? Maybe you are caught up in a sin right now. You would give anything to break free from it. You want to serve God. You want to be blameless, but you just can’t overcome the sin in your life.

I want you to know, today, God’s door is open to you. Nowhere in the Bible does it say, “get right and then come to God.” How can you overcome sin without God? You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to come to Him. His door is always open.

Because of who He is He could so easily reject us...but instead He stands there with His arms wide open ready to embrace us!!
